2000
- Bush vs. Al gore, there are problems with counting the votes and electoral collage elects Bush to be president.
- Big brother starts, ends up being a very controversial show in later years
- Pop idol begins
- 9/11 happens and this starts many years of terrorism attacks and bomb threats on countries
